Mary Boyce, M.A., M.F.C. (2002)

Brochure Site for a Marriage, Family, and Child Counselor

I had originally created this site for Mary in 1998. When she called me back in 2002 to make updates and perhaps even create a new site, I found that very few changes were necessary.

The clean, easy-to-navigate design of the original site was still relevant, so I simply added CSS, a little JavaScript, and replaced some outdated content

We kept the look and feel essentially the same. One of her trademarks was her very distinctive house in San Jose's historic Rose Garden neighborhood, so we made that a focal point of the home page. (The colors of the house were also the inspiration for the color palette of the site...yes, the house was painted mint green!)

At the time of the relaunch, I also moved the site to a new domain, maryboyce.com. Four years after I had originally created this site, this experience further bolstered my belief that simple, elegant design is the way to go.

This site remained online and up-to-date until Mary passed away in August 2004 at the age of 82.
