101 Great Coaching Quotes (2002)
An Ebook and Web Site Collection of Quotes about Coaching
This collection was one of my first major projects for CoachVille. Thomas Leonard was very prolific when it came to intellectual properties...and he was equally as prolific with projects that were never quite completed.
Shortly after I joined the team, I was asked to compile this eBook and web site. The final product was to be announced to CV's membership the following week. When I got the list and started to work, I realized there were only about 50 quotes. And no, changing the project to 50 Great Coaching Quotes was not an option.
So I spent countless hours researching the web, hunting down another 50 quotes that were both unique and appropriate for this project. I then enlisted Sam's help to write a Perl script that spit out the HTML file and text file for me (my Perl scripting abilities are tenuous at best), and I developed my own actions in Photoshop to produce the graphic that accompanied each full quote.
The end result was two versions of the ebook (with and without graphics), and web site containing links to text and graphics for each of the 101 quotes.
