4th Annual CoachVille Conference (2004)

A New Orleans-Themed Conference Site

This was a very challenging project. The Conference Director wanted an eye-catching site that would be easy for the Conference Team to maintain. Although CoachVille was transitioning to another content management system (.lrn), the Conference Director felt that it did not provide a site with the visual appeal necessary for such a high-profile event (in spite of .lrn's extreme ease of use).

Using the logo I had created several months before as a starting point, I created a colorful, HTML-based site that would (in theory) be easy to maintain and expand in DreamWeaver. It proved to be a good object lesson in finding (or not finding) the balance between visual flair and easy maintenance by less technically-inclined users.

The good news is that this went up almost six months before the conference.
