In an effort to further communicate the mission of TropicalClinics, I put up a blog to communicate the latest news and the progress updates on the construction of the first clinic in Kakamega.
After some difficulty implementing Movable Type on their web host, I moved to Blogger. I was able to serve the Blogger files from the Tropical Clinics site. I developed a look and feel for the blog that matches that of the existing TropicalClinics site. (And it just so happens Blogger's colors are almost identical to those of TropicalClinics!)
I used Feedburner RSS feeds to display the latest headlines on the main page of the TropicalClinics site, as well as manage feed subscriptions and track statistics.
Communicating progress on the clinics is more important than ever as the opening day approaches; Dr. Kilibwa is now in Kakamega to train a volunteer medical staff as well as finalize the operation procedures for the clinic with a sizable local staff.
